Keith Cormican

Dive Instructor, Search & Recovery Expert

Bruce was certified in 1990 and opened up the Wazee Sports Center LLC in 1996 to serve the many divers that would be coming to the old iron mine, called Wazee Lake. This was also the year that he assisted with forming the Sheriff’s Dept. dive team, The Jackson County Dive Unit. Over the past 29 years he has been involved with many recoveries. Among his numerous personal certifications Keith offers PADI, SDI, TDI and ERDI courses. He has worked his way to become an Instructor Trainer through TDI Advanced Tri Mix, SDI Instructors and ERDI Instructors. 2013 marks another milestone for Keith, working to form a nonprofit organization called Bruce’s Legacy with a mission to provide assistance to families and Public Safety Departments to locate drowned victims, public safety education for the public and Scuba experiences for the Disabled. “It’s been a long-time goal to have an official organization that can assist in search and recovery operations and give families closure, so they can move forward after a tragic drowning accident.” 2018 Keith set forth with Search and Recovery Consulting LLC. To date, he has 30 family members he has located with sonar and has been asked by many departments how he has been so successful. Keith has a vision to help departments with sharing his tools and knowledge to finding objects underwater.
